Saturday morning keynote speaker:
Dr. Chris Maples

Dr. Chris Maples has been the President of the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) since 2008. Dr. Maples' received his B.S. degree in geology from West Georgia College, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Indiana University. Dr. Maples' is Oregon Tech's number-one-fan, and attends as many sporting events as possible. He has an open-door policy, and can be seen walking around campus visiting with students, staff, and faculty. With all of Dr. Maples' experience in the STEM area, he will be a great keynote to start off our convention!
Rita Hans

Saturday afternoon keynote speaker:
Rita Hansen

Rita Hansen has more than 30 years of executive management, engineering and operations management, and project management experience in a diverse range of industries including steel manufacturing, building products and electronic components manufacturing, distribution & warehousing, telecommunications and software development. Over the last 10 years, Rita has specialized in startup and early phase environments with an emphasis on domestic and international opportunities in the alternative energy and renewables arena. She is currently the CEO of Onboard Dynamics – a company that is commercializing natural gas compressor technology from OSU-Cascades that enables self-refueling of vehicles from anywhere there is a low-pressure natural gas line.

Rita holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from University of Washington and over the years has continued her education in the fields of management, mathematics, and education.
Dr. Lace Brogden

International Representative and workshop presenter:
Dr. Lace Marie Brogden

Our International Representative for our State Convention will be Dr. Lace Marie Brogden, the Northwest Regional Director for the International Administrative Board. Dr. Brogden is an Associate Professor of French education in minority language contexts at the University of Regina, Canada.

Lace has served as State Organization President in the Providence of Saskatchewan from 2001-2003. At the International level, she has served on the International Research Committee, Golden Gift Fund Committee, as Chair of the International Scholarships Committee, the International Speaker's Fund, and as Area Representative-Canada on the Administrative Board.

As our International representative, Lace will bring us greetings and share about what is happening in DKG. We are also pleased that Lace will also be leading one of our technology workshops. Check for more information in our final program at Convention.
