Program Summary:
Michele Ruznak with AISD’s Department of
Physical Education will share information and provide an interactive
presentation about physical health and fitness for our children and
ourselves. Jan Phillips, AISD counselor, will lead members through a
guidance activity that helps support children’s emotional health. Members
will learn about the options for children’s health insurance and
legislation surrounding those options.
Program Purposes:
To stimulate
the personal and professional growth of members and to encourage their
participation in appropriate programs of work; to inform the membership of
current economic, social, political and educational issues so that they
may participate effectively in a world society.

educational issues so that they may participate effectively in a world
society; to endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in
pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to women educators from
other countries.

Members will dialogue about the future of education in our global society
and look closely at the external forces that are shaping the context of
the future of learning. Members will explore uses of technological
advances and look closely at the impact of learning on English Language
Learners. In one example, teachers from Summitt Elementary School will
share tools they use and experiences they have gained in teaching
Vietnamese immigrant children.

To inform the membership of current economic, social, political, and
educational issues so they may participate effectively in a world society.

If you are traveling south on Hwy. 183, you will take the Ohlen exit,
turn left onto Ohlen which curves into Peyton Gin just past
the
Target
Store.
If you are traveling north on Hwy. 183, you will take
the Jamestown/Ohlen exit and stay on the access road until Ohlen where
you
will turn right just past the Target Store. Ohlen will become Peyton Gin
at the next light.
