State Theme: Advance the Society: Believe, Engage, Learn and Lead (B.E.L.L.)

Chapter Theme: The “Simple Truth” is a rose without PETALS has no bloom. Pursuit of Educational Excellence Through the Advancement of Leadership and Service.

International Mission Statement:

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.

International Purposes:

  • To unite women educators of the world in a genuine spiritual fellowship

  • To honor women who have given or who evidence a potential for distinctive service in any field of education

  • To advance the professional interest and position of women in education

  • To initiate, endorse, and support desirable legislation or other suitable endeavors in the interests of education and of women educators

  • To endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to women educators from other countries

  • To stimulate the personal and professional growth of members and to encourage their participation in appropriate programs of action

  • To inform the members of current economic, social, political, and educational issues so that they may participate effectively in a world society.

Chapter Goals:

  • Modify the committee structures to rejuvenate Chapter members’ participation in the life of Epsilon Kappa. (Pursuit of)

  • Implement relevant Chapter programs that inspire and support members in their educational endeavors. (Educational Excellence)

  • Increase Chapter membership by communicating the benefits of the Society. (Through the Advancement of)

  • Encourage Chapter members’ involvement in the Leadership and Scholarship opportunities of Epsilon Kappa and the Society. (Leadership and)

  • Promote participation in Chapter Service projects that not only offer monetary contributions but also offer support of educational communities with dedicated time and energies as well. (Service)
