Welcome to the web site for the Gamma Nu Chapter of Xi State Tennessee of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Through our web site, we hope to keep the members of Gamma Nu Chapter informed of upcoming events and important information for our chapter. We invite our visitors to learn about our organization and ways in which we mentor, honor, support, and encourage women educators.

Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is a professional honor society of women educators. Founded in 1929 by twelve women on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin, Delta Kappa Gamma has attained major objectives in improving opportunities for qualified women employed at every level of education as well as in advancing the status of women educators.

The Tennessee organization is Xi State. Xi State was founded on November 30, 1935 in Nashville, Tennessee by Dr. Annie Webb Blanton. The Gamma Nu Chapter of Xi State Tennessee of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International was founded on April 12, 2003 by the Alpha Omega Chapter installed by Vera Jo Henegar with 52 Charter Members.
