Dear Beta Nu Sisters,

The November meeting of Delta Kappa Gamma will be held on Monday, November 2, at First Methodist Church on the square.  Our holiday dinner will begin with light refreshments and fellowship at 6:00, followed by our meal at 6:30.  The cost for the dinner is $15.00.  Our hostesses for the evening are Dulcie Davis, Ann Spencer and Ardis Rittenberry.  The devotion will be given by Marilyn Massengale, and I hope to see all of you there as we begin the holiday season together.  If you have not made reservations to attend, please contact one of the hostesses right away.

Our meeting in October was delightful!  Thanks so much to Jan Hall and Terri Overcast for the delicious lasagna, and to Frances Parker for such a wonderful devotion about the season of autumn.  We learned a great deal from Dr. Erin Henrick about her research with Vanderbilt University.  It was very interesting to think about all the many educational factors that affect math instruction, and discuss what we thought were most critical to the success of students.  We also enjoyed shopping from Erin’s line of Premier jewelry.  (If you ordered jewelry, I will have it for you at the holiday dinner.  If you will not be there, please send me an email or call me and I will get your pretty box to you at another time.) Erin sent us a check for $30 (10% of her sales for the evening) in honor of her mother, Donna Green.  How sweet!

Congratulations once again to Janice Womble, Tennessee Principal of the Year!  We are very proud of you and wish you many more successful years to come!

I look forward to seeing you on the 2nd, and I hope you have a wonderfully happy rest of the week!

                                                                                      Fondly,

                                                                                      Kristie
