From its beginning in 1964, Beta Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma has provided enrichment, support, and encouragement to key women educators in Morgan County. eta Beta Chapter, comprised of active and retired educators in Morgan County, Tennessee, has earned Gold Chapter status for the past six years.
In 2009, Beta Beta was also recognized as a Visionary Chapter for contributing $1,000 to the Xi State Vision Foundation. These milestones represent the hard work and dedication
of our members.
The goal for our officers and members is to sustain the enthusiasm and attitude of excellence that our chapter has attained. This year we are extending our mentoring program for teachers in training and continuing our support of the Imagination Library program. We will continue to encourage our members to attend Xi State Convention, leadership training, and officer training as well as apply for scholarships.
Beta Beta chapter is part of the Tennessee Xi State organization and is comprised of 40 active and 3 reserve members representing each of the county school system's eight schools. Collectively, we have over 600 years of teaching experience!
Through our monthly meetings and activities, we espouse to the mission of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International to promote the professional and personal growth of women educators. Thanks to the hard work of our officers, who encourage active participation by all members, Beta Beta Chapter is thriving and involved in a variety of school, community, and professional development activities.
