News of our members
The following members have been nominated for membership on
state committees for the next biennium (2012-14). Dr. Kathy Kester for Xi State Vision Foundation Board of Directors,
Nancy Knight for Finance Committee, Irene Archambault for Nominations Committee (2nd term),
and Shirley Dowell for Personnel Committee (continuing member).
Irene Archambault was recently featured in The Tennessean.
The article
featured Irene for her volunteer work at the Nashville Zoo.
Doris Ann Hendrix one of seven Xi State members and one of 187 international
members, was recognized at the 2010 International Convention as a Woman of Vision and Action.
Irene Archambault and Dr. Kathy Kester received the Presidents’ Volunteer Service Award at the Zoo’s
Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. They received a letter from the White House, a certificate, and a pin.
Shirley Dowell and her group that visits Vanco Manor each week have been nominated for
Volunteer of the Year for healthcare groups.
Evelyn Brown received the Distinctive Service to Community Award in 2010
presented by the four Nashville area chapters at the May Founders Day dinner. Congratulations on this high honor.
Lois Jones became the latest Visionary of the Xi State Vision Foundation.
Congratulations to the following Beta members who will be serving on various state committees this biennium: Irene Archambault, Doris Hendrix, Kathy Kester, Janet Little, Shirley Dowell, Sharon Chaney, Debbie Smith and Mary Jane Thompson.
