PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

March and April are to be filled with opportunities to be involved with the activities and responsibilities of our chapter. At our March 12 meeting, we will be voting on proposed amendments to our Rules and will welcome Dr. Jensi Souders to tell us about our Southeastern Regional Conference. We will also talk about our chair project for the Coffee County Literacy Auction and about our auction basket and our craft display for State Convention. In April (April 28, 10:30 am), we will celebrate Founder’s Day and will have as our guests our Area VI Director Rosie Coleman and our speaker Judy Beasley Whitehill. I look forward to seeing you at both of these meetings.

The Arts and Crafts/Silent Auction Basket Committee, Leslie Wurst, chair, will be needing art/craft items for display at the State Convention in June and will be putting together a garden-theme basket for the silent auction there. At least five participants are needed for the arts and crafts display, and as many items as can be gathered will be used in the basket. Please plan to contribute an item for either or both of these.

The Literacy/Special Project Committee, Virginia Davis, chair, will be preparing two chairs for the Coffee County Literacy Auction to be held in April.
