AGENDA February Meeting 4:30
Sign in and greet COMMITTEE CORNER Committee chairs have received folders that will be passed on to future chairs to provide consistency in communication as our chapter moves from one biennium to the next. One important component of each folder is a list of duties to be performed by that committee. Each folder also contains an original Recommendation for Membership form that can be copied as needed when potential new members are invited to join. Another page that will remain in the folder has the words to the Delta Kappa Gamma song, collect, and pledge. The new yearbooks are ready and they look great! LEARN MORE --- About our guest speaker's certification at the following websites: The bills targeting teachers and the Tennessee Education Association at the following:
XI STATE NOTES The February edition of Details from Dee Dee is available at http://www.xistate.org/index.html. Xi State 2011, which is scheduled for June 9-11, in Sewanee, is fast approaching! The Advanced Leadership Management Seminar is scheduled for February 25-27, 2011, at the Hachland Hill Vineyard and Corporate Retreat in Joelton, Tennessee. Interested in attending? Submit your application to Elaine Alexander so it is postmarked by January 31. Members selected as participants or alternates will be notified by February 6. Download the registration form. Download the Recommendation for Membership form so you'll be ready to invite the excellent women teachers you know to join Delta Kappa Gamma! If any of the above addresses don't work, try using google to find the new address. I hope to have the correct information in the next newsletter. The site is undergoing reconstruction and changing the name to www.dkg.org. You'll see a new link on our chapter's homepage for contact information for state and federal leaders. I encourage you to contact the Tennessee ones immediately. Carmen's telephone number is now 931-581-2018 and Louise James' email address has changed to jljames132@blomand.net. Please update your handbooks. |
