PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE As I begin my presidency for the 2006-2008 biennium, I am so encouraged by your responses to my requests for you to become involved in the work of our Chapter. I am looking forward to our two years of work together and hope you will choose to participate in as many ways as you can in both Chapter and State activities. Share your ideas with me, and let me know how I can help you realize your member goals.

---to Alpha Pi Chapter for receiving The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Xi State Highest Honors Communication Award.
--- to Alpha Pi member Reba Walters for promotion from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor at Motlow State Community College.
---to Alpha Pi member Leslie Wurst for receiving the Faculty Excellence Award for the Mathematics, Science, and Education division at Motlow State Community College.
---to Alpha Pi member Vicki Young whose son Jon married Molly Banks who is the great neice of the late Sadie Mae McMahan (Alpha Pi Chapter President 1976-78) and whose daughter, Emma-Grace, is in our member Jennifer Ray’s first grade class at Robert E. Lee Elementary.
COMMITTEE CORNER Committees will be working and reporting at the August meeting. Thanks to all members for participation in planning our work for the year. The Membership Committee will be looking for nominations for membership. The Social/ Program Committee will be looking for volunteers to present devotional thoughts and for volunteers to serve as hostesses at our meetings. |
