SUBMITTAL SCHEDULE FOR 2009-2010
- Fall Issue: Copy must be submitted by Wednesday, September 23, 2009.
This issue will feature an article on the Northeast Regional Conference. You might consider reporting on your chapter members who attended. We will also be introducing a new feature for this issue entitled “What Works? – Growing Your Membership” in which a chapter may share information on strategies that have worked well.
Example: “Our chapter has followed the newspapers for stories about exceptional educators and invited them to a chapter meeting.” OR “Our chapter tries identify two potential members from a new district so that they can encourage each other to become active.”
- Winter Issue: Copy must be submitted by Friday, November 20, 2009.
This issue features information on our state convention, which is unusually early this year. We will do our best to include as much chapter news as we can, but space will be limited. In this issue, our feature will be “What Works? – Encouraging Your Members To Attend the State Convention.”
Example: “Our chapter helps members find roommates and carpooling arrangements.” OR “Our chapter chartered a van to bring members to the convention.” - Spring Issue: Copy must be submitted by Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
This issue will feature news of the state convention as well as highlights of the year to
date. We will also have information on the International Convention in Spokane, WA
in July 2010. Our feature will be “What Works? – Outstanding Chapter Programs and/or
Service Projects.” You are invited to submit a brief summary of something really exciting
that your chapter has done, to include contact information for any chapter interested in
duplicating your experience.
We hope that this information is helpful. If you have questions at any time, please contact me at cesteach@optonline.net or at (973) 838-2478.
