President's Message...
Greetings from Ann:
We are living in a Winter Wonderland this year. Our blanket
of snow is quite impressive. It is giving me a chance to develop
my skills operating my snow blower. On those days, my fragrance
is “essence of snow blower exhaust.” I am longing for
the fragrance of spring flowers and the sound of birdsongs. But,
I find solace in my sunny classroom, working with my students as they
develop their clothing design skills, and in knowing that in a little
over two months the green grass of Spring will be here.
I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, Feb. 20 at our meeting
at Zandbroz Variety, 420 Broadway, Fargo. Our business meeting
will start at 4 p.m. and we will dine at 5 p.m. Afterwards, we
will go to the Fargo Theater at 314 Broadway, to attend the program
“A Celebration of Women and Their Music”. The cost of
the dinner is $10 and RSVPs to either Ann.Braaten@ndsu.edu or Jo.Cavins@ndsu.edu.
Tickets for the program are $15 and are available at the door, at the
Fargo Theater Box Office or on-line through
Fargo-stuff.com.
Building our membership is an important goal this year.
Invite perspective members to this meeting and others. Our
initiation of new members will occur at our May 1 meeting when our
State President Karen Walz will be present. Recommendation for
membership forms will be available at the meeting and can be accessed
