President's Message...
Greetings from Ann:
                    Welcome Back!

Excitement is in the air as we start the program year for Beta Chapter with a transition to new officers. Our outgoing President, Ginger Dietz, is now Immediate Past President, and I will be president. This is new
for me, as I have not served as president since my 6th grade class with Mr. Kromerik. Bear with me as I learn about the role. Correct me if I err. Steer me in the right direction. I’ll do my best to help the
chapter run smoothly.
We have a talented group of officers. Linda Fricker, our able treasurer for the past six years, is now 1st Vice President. She is assembling personal information for our little red yearbook. If you have a new degree or have changed schools, addresses, email, or phone numbers, please tell her at Linda.Fricker@ndsu.edu.
Linda Coons and Elaine Strand are Co 2nd Vice Presidents. They, along with Committee Chairs, are planning programs for January to November of 2009. Thanks to Dianne Ornberg and Leslie Hagemeister for helping them
with a smooth transition into this role.
Deb Boyer is our new secretary. Deb has been president of Beta Chapter. She now will take minutes to provide an official record of our Chapter’s activities.
Our new treasurer is Collette Folstad. She was secretary last biennium and worked on the Finance Committee. Collette is collecting chapter dues and needs them in hand by Nov. 1. Please make her task easier by paying
dues prior to this deadline.
Verna LaBounty is our Parliamentarian. She is our Preceding Past President and is editor of Beta Bits. Thanks to Verna for wearing many hats.
Thanks to all of you for making Beta Chapter strong. Thanks especially to those in leadership roles. I find that the more I put into something, the more I get out of it. Your involvement is essential for making Beta
Chapter a strong, viable organization for key women educators.
I‘ll see you at the Fall Social at Bear Creek Winery on Sept. 4 and am excited to start an interesting year with Beta Chapter.
