Member Spotlight

     Epsilon treasurer, Carol Stevens is a 1986 graduate of Russell High School.  She has BS and MA Degrees from Morehead State University, where she played collegiate softball for 4 years.    

Since 1993 she has taught math at Russell High School - Algebra, Trigonometry and AP Statistics.


She is a very busy lady:  Key Club Sponsor,  Former head coach of RHS Varsity Softball team 1995-2005; currently a volunteer JV coach for softball and 8th grade girls basketball coach.On the personal side, Carol is a member of Advance Memorial United Methodist Church in Flatwoods where she plays handbells, sing in the chancel choir and "act up" with the drama team. She also enjoys biking, still playing softball (when her body allows it) in the church league, and playing golf with a niece. 

She has been married to Greg Stevens for 5 years.  They have  2 precious Shi Tzus : Brownie and Peyton and a wonderful cat named Grady.  Brownie is in the picture above. 

In regard to her Delta Kappa Gamma connection, Carol says, "Being a member of DKG has been such an honor.  To be surrounded by so many outstanding educators and to listen to their stories of their careers and their impact on children has truly been an inspiration to me.  I enjoy the camaraderie  that we share each time we meet."
