Guidelines

The Seminar in Purposeful Living is held in even-numbered years. It is prior to and at a location geographically near the International Convention. Information concerning the seminar (topic, location, dates, etc.) may be found in the Educational Foundation section of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International website.

Eligibility

  1. The applicant shall have been a member of the Phi State Organization for at least two (2) years prior to making application for the award.
  2. Proof that the applicant has been accepted for the seminar program and has made the necessary preliminary payment if required.
  3. A recipient of the award may not apply the biennium after receiving the award.

Criteria for Selection

  1. Regular attendance at chapter meetings and participation in chapter activities are requirements for receiving the award.
  2. A State member would be exempt from the chapter qualification for two (2) years after her chapter dissolved.

Requirements

  1. Send a completed application to the Phi State Scholarship Committee Chair.
  2. Include copies of the seminar acceptance letter and registration payment.

Number and Payment of Awards

  1. There shall be two (2) awards of $500.00 each for the Seminar in Purposeful Living.
  2. The most current Phi State voucher form shall be used to request payment of the award.
