Guidelines

Eligibility

  1. Has been an active member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for at least one (1) year before applying.
  2. Has met the February 1 (of any year) deadline for application for the First-time Convention/Conference Award.

Requirements

  1. Mail a completed application to the Phi State Scholarship Committee Chair postmarked by February 1 of the year the award is given.
  2. Mail with the application a letter of recommendation from the chapter president.
  3. Upon completion of the Convention/Conference write a brief (250 word) summary of the Convention/Conference experience to:

    The summary may be published in the SUNFLOWER.

Criteria for Selection

  1. Regular attendance at chapter meetings and participation in chapter activities are qualifications for receiving the award.
  2. A State member would be exempt from the chapter qualification for two (2) years after her chapter dissolved.

Awards

Three (3) First-Time Convention/Conference Awards of $200 each will be available during any one (1) year. The award will be recognized and presented during the Birthday Luncheon of the Phi State Convention.
