Charter Tour to the Northwest Regional

Portland, Oregon, July 21-August 2, 2009

From Lorraine Sewick:

If you are interested in attending the Northwest Regional in Portland, why not join the Iowa charter trip a week early to see the sites around the state of Oregon?  The itinerary and prices are finalized.  If you are interested in joining other Iowans on this trip, contact Lorraine Sewick for an updated itinerary.  We’ll fly to Portland on July 21, 2009 for a week tour around the state before the Northwest Regional Conference.  A $500 deposit will be required by April 1, 2009 to secure your spot with final payment due by May 1, 2009.  Prices based on a minimum of 25 passengers are: 4 to a room $1969 each, 3 to a room $2089 each, 2 to a room $2299 each and a single room $3099.  Price includes round trip flight to Portland leaving from Des Moines (transportation to Des Moines is your responsibility), chartered bus tour around the state of Oregon including several meals and attraction fees, and 12 nights’ accommodations including the conference hotel in Portland.

I’m sure International President Dr. Carolyn Rants will be delighted to have a large group of Iowans attend to support her.  So please consider joining this trip.

Please contact me at the below e-mail, address, or call for an itinerary and registration form.

Thank you,

Lorraine Sewick

Communication from Upsilon State President

Click here for the latest Dispatch (2.2) from Dena.

Create a BUZZ!

The International Communications Committee is "Creating a BUZZ" to make Delta Kappa Gamma more visible our our communities, states, and country.
They will be developing a "Tip of the Month", with ideas to help us to get the word out about our wonderful society.

Here are this month's tips:

  • Plan to attend the Northwest Conference, July 29-Aug. 1 in Portland, Oregon.  There are always inspiring speakers, outstanding workshops, and great opportunities to network with colleagues.

  • Share the Society's Heritage and Data.  Reviewing the history and information about the Society is a great way to spread the word.

  • "Buzz" about exciting chapter activities and projects or highlight a member's accomplishments.

  • Make sure that the information you share is accurate and up-to-date.

  • If you don't have your "elevator speech" yet, now is a good time to get it ready!

Click here for December's tip page and here for more information about "Creating a BUZZ" activities.
