High School and College Grants

Each year Delta Kappa Gamma Society International offers two $750.00 grants to high school seniors from Connecticut who are entering teacher education programs in the fall.

Deadline for applications: March 31, 2008.

Requirements for Applications

  1. Applicant must be a graduating senior in a Connecticut high school.
  2. Applicant must be entering a teacher education program appropriate for teacher certification in Connecticut.
  3. Applicant must be a resident of Connecticut.
  4. Applicant must demonstrate qualities consistent with the promise of leadership in education, including scholarship and community service.
  5. Applicants must submit three sealed references, an essay under 500 words indicating his/her reasons for becoming a teacher, a transcript of work through January of his/her senior year, and a completed application form.
